Sync to FTP
Is this possible with a Widget?

Hello DX Community. New member here. I am developing an Electronic Flight Bag for our pilots. I am planning to use DesktopX for the UI. Is there a script that can sync files from an FTP site? Sound strange? All pilots need information as current as possible. Our plan is to issue them a tablet PC with DesktopX, but they will need a button or Widget that will sync to an FTP server and give them the latest updated manuals/aviation weather/etc. I am new to scripting and this is a unique project. Can you help?
