My computer Screen

What file has the my computer screen in it? Is it a bitmap? How do I customize it? John

do you mean a screenshot of your screen?...did you press print screen?

I'm thinking he/she's referring to the Icon. You can find it here "C:\WINDOWS\system32\shell32.dll" but you CANNOT edit it unless your a very experienced programmer. Your best bet is to buy Iconpackager and change it through the program.

Course it might be wallpaper. You can find lots in the library here.

If you only want to change the one icon - right click desktop > properties > desktop tab > customize desktop > click on the 'my computer' icon once > click change icon

If you want to change more than one all at the same time:

Your best bet is to buy Iconpackager

right click desktop > properties > desktop tab > pick one from the list

or

find some you like (lots of wall in the gallery here) - download them - unzip them to where you can find them - right click on one > set as desktop background (or wallpaper - depending on you system)

Actually its a he, and he is referring to the background of "My Computer", this is an excerpt taken from shellstyle.dll. Could someone explain to me (RBCC) what it does?
