PIRATE your desktop!

Have Windows walk the plank with this new suite!

Thursday, May 24, 2007 by Frogboy | Discussion: WinCustomize News

Transform your entire Windows desktop experience with the new Pirate Premium Suite! This suite, when applied, will change nearly every element of your Windows GUI!

Some users have asked to be "wowed" by Stardock Design and the Pirate suite aims to deliver that WOW.

The suite includes:

  • A WindowBlinds visual style (which supports both XP and Windows Vista)
  • An icon package that not only has 117 icons but has full Windows Vista icon package support (that means 256x256 sized icons and live folder support!)
  • Multiple wallpaper backgrounds
  • A CursorXP cursor pack that will work both with the current CursorXP and with the upcoming CursorVista enhanced cursor applying program.
  • A new Logon screen
  • A boot screen
  • ObjectDock background
  • A weather, clock calendar, media player gadget!
  • And to top it all off, a talking Pirate gadget!

This is definitely one of the best suites ever made. Check out these screenshots below:

I even updated the theme manager and I still cannot get it to install. Just the wallpaper installs, icon manager errors and then windowblinds acts like it is going to install, but it doesn't:(

Pirates didn't have plastics and metals back in the day; should have gone with more wood in the skin. I'm disappointed.

Does it even partially change your Windows look?  i.e. does it change application titlebars and the start menu to a yellow set of colors?

no - just the wallpaper installs. windowblinds states the "please wait" like it is loading, but then just stays on the same skin. Iconpackager states that it cannot load the package.

neophil78, use the lookup at: www.stardock.com/support to have your info emailed to you.

If it doesn't show up there, call sales 1-888-Stardock and ask them if it processed.

Mr arskelly, did you reboot yet?  What version of WB are you using?  XP or Vista?

If you don't get my email within a couple minutes, please let me know as you may be having our email blocked somehow.  You should have received an order receipt and both copies of when you requested your info.

Here are some more screenshots:

The skin has a really cool shadow around the edges which I'm not sure you can see in the screenshot.

Also, the ObjectDock skins are fantastic!

The talking pirate is hilarious.

The screenshots don't do justice to the icons though. The icons when in use are just fantastic.   Lemme see if I can find a 256x256 screenshot.

Okay, here are just two of the 100+ icons in the package:

This is the 256x256 version of these icons. All original creations for this icon package.  Look at the retail though. I mean, heck, the suite is worth it just for this. At 256x256 you've got a decent pirate clip art collection.

Incredible suite guys! I could just tell from the beggining this was work of PixelPirate, not because of being a Pirate suite but because of his amazing style for making everything so shiny and cool, besides he used the same "NO" state for the cursor as Liquidox hehe

Anyway, this suite definetely is amazing and very uniq from what I can see... and apparently it works great in Vista too! Great job guys!
