How to make a dreamscene video

Can one or some of the authors give us a clue how to actually make these dreamscene backgrounds? For example what software do you use? My favourites are Aura.Dream, Mana Shades.Dream, Vista.Dream. I'd love to make one like these but have'nt got a clue what software is used to create these effects.

The animations can be made with any type of media type software. So long as you can get it out to a MPG format and keep it under 100megs you are fine. This means Flash, Max, Maya, and anything you can really think of is fair game.
