Wednesday, May 2, 2007 by On3 Ey3 | Discussion: Icons

Hey. I'm a new user of this whole customize your windows thing, and i already ran into my first problem. When i try to apply a iconpackager theme, to be precise, the theme is called: PostTenebraLux. But also give me the same error with others. Anyone know what to do?

Are you sure it was an .ip file? Iconpackager Basics

Yes, the file is called PostTenebraLux.ip, and so are the others i've downloaded. Forgot to write after the "..to be precise, the theme is called: PostTenebraLux, it gives me the error: Error: No icon package was found in file". I can use the icons that are already installed with iconpackager, but not anyone (so far) that i have downloaded.

are you double clicking?
are you sure it's IP saying that and not IconDeveloper?

Im double clicking, im loading it from the program, nothing works! And yes im pretty sure its a IP file. Downloaded it from wincustomize.com, and the i search under "Iconpackager" so it must be for iconpackager. Seems like im the first with that problem???

that's Bichur said

So it's that not run -> save the file and install it since the folder where you save it.
make exactly the same as the picture

now select the .IP files cilck on open

Select the package and click on load

Now click on apply and it's good

Hope that's help

Thanks Q94

What Quentin said, is what I was getting to. Had a storm last night, kept losing power.

Do you have Icondeveloper?

If so, open it - uncheck the file extensions to be associated with IconDeveloper (uncheck .icl, .iptheme and .ip

Then try Quentin94's steps above

I am having the same problem. I have IconPackager 2.5 and I have downloaded the Khado iconset. The file is Khado.ip but I get that same error message when I attempt to install the package. Perhaps I need a newer version on iconpackager?

I would say so, yes. Version 2.5 is quite outdated.

Sorry for the late respons. I have already tried to load the file from within IconPackager, and i do not have Icondeveloper, so it cant be that. From what "Diomede-" is suggesting, i will try to download a newer version and reply after i've tried that.

I just downloaded V3.2, and it works now, so it was because the other version were too old. But i thx for trying to help
