Webcams?

Computer not showing...

Thursday, April 5, 2007 by Armbut | Discussion: Windows Vista

Ok this is the best forum I know about by far, so I'll just go ahead and ask here.

I have been having this problem for a long time now but have just tried to bear with it.

Okay, I am running Windows Vista (this applies to all versions) and I have a webcam (all models I have tried still apply).

Usually, in XP, after installing drivers, software, etc. for the webcam, I would simply go to My Computer under Cameras and Scanners and use Explorer to take my pictures. Vista's Computer doesn't detect the cams for some reason.

This is happening on mine, my moms, my fiancee's, and a few friends systems. Can anyone help?

Note: also, Windows Movie Maker doesn't detect it either...

You probably have a webcam who's drivers arent supported in Vista yet, My Logitech dont work either. Try updating your drivers.

Id suggest new Vista capable cams, their cheap as dirt these days. youll be waiting a while if u wanna use older ones on Vista I believe.
