Wallpapers not apppearing in the gallery
Thursday, April 5, 2007 by loneywuvstony | Discussion: Wallpapers
I recently uploaded some wallpapers, got emails saying they'd been uploaded and they appeared in my skins area but not in the main gallery and if a user looks at my profile they don't appear...anyone know why?
I'm just curious, I noticed in another thread someone said to ask a moderator via email to save embarrassment etc but I don't know who the mods are and I don't care if the reason is they think they're rubbish or whatever.

You already have a Wincustomize personal site - when I click on your user name -then click on your profile - this is the link I see which indicates your WC personal site
http://loneywuvstony.wincustomize.com/
WWW Link
When your on your profile page - look up top right and you will see blue tabs - click on Gallery tab and thats your WC personal page gallery - sometimes skins will only be seen here rather than rejected and not shown at all.
Maybe you already knew this was here and we confused you that there was something more that you should do.

Is my wallpaper accepted to the extent that its not total crap, so I can display it on my personal page, but not good enough to be placed in the main gallery?

That is how the system works now.

Thank you. I guess that explains alot. Moderators should have a separate automated email detailing this. Would save much confusion.

That's actually a fantastic idea. I'm going to see about when we can get that added to the net dev task queue. It would certainly solve a lot of headaches for myself when moderating wallpapers.

MountainHawk...those two are in your 'Personal Pages'. Looks like both were deemed more appropriate there than the 'main gallery'.
My personal opinion is neither of those is anywhere as interesting/appealing as some of your other recent ones, namely 'Breached' and 'Precious' [two even I downloaded]....
Hellfire in particular suffers from the dreaded 'picture framing' that often tends to detract from 'wall appeal'...

It was rated and appears in my gallery, but not on my site page and I can not find it in the gallery.
As of today my site reports 1 view,1 comment. If you feel the same about my work as discussed above for MountainHawk, then,I ask, what good is it to submit work to this site if no one sees our work?
I also sent 3 emails about this and a question on how to fix a dead link on my personal page. Have had no response.
I just recently decided to return to this site after a near 6 year absence. Nice welcome back.

etype2 ...since your last visit the Rules of Moderation have changed. Now, rather than rejecting a submission deemed unsuited to the Gallery the option exists to have it visible/accessible via one's Personal Page.
However, I cannot locate anything by you named 'Solitude V2', though there IS one called 'Equinox V2' uploaded a few weeks ago...and on your Personal Page....

As for the moderator list...that's something I've requested/suggested to be displayed somewhere, maybe the powers that be will consider doing it for cases such as these.
