What do the awards on personal sites mean?

On the personal web sites there are awards like "Top 1 downloads" and the like, can someone please explain what these are?

i also know that theres been a bug (not sure if its fixed yet) as soon as you upload something, a award shows up in your gallary, and then goes away after a bit.
