Windows Experience Rating: 4.5

The RAM is only DDR 3200 which I assume is why it's the lowest scoring component.

My Dell 8300 (four year old system)
2.8 GHz P4 HT
1GB RAM
ATI RADEON 9800 128MB
120GB + 300GB HD IDE

Windows Experience Rating: 4.2
Dont remember the rating for each component, but they where each around the total figure.

If you go to Control Panel\Performance Information and Tools, under the table is a "View and Print" link.
That's what I used.  I'm WAY too lazy to type that stuff out.

So as new tech comes out and computers get faster and whatnot, will the max score go up or will the stats of current systems go down?

or maybe I'm just overly cynical..  ....nah
