Want A Free Subscription To WC ?

My subscription is good til 2008. I wouldn't have had one at all if it weren't for the generosity of another WC member back in 2005. So, what I would like to do is offer up the subscription I won in the St. Patty's Day contest to someone who does not have a subscription at all.

Requirements...
1. You have to be a member, signed up prior to today's date (3/22/07) and not have a current subscription.

2. State your case here on why I should give you this subscription.

You have until noon tomorrow (3/23/07) to make your case, after which time I will pick one and announce it here by 7:00pm tomorrow night E.S.T.

EDIT - Also, whoever I pick will get the prize I was offered for the 'community poll' which is a Premium Suite (*Not a Master Suite) of their choice! You'll get to pick from one of the suites on this page WWW Link

being as i have 4 children sometimes money is pretty tight. that's a pretty thoughtful thing your doing PO' i was lucky enough to get object desktop for christmas.[my birthday]and have not been happier. i love this site and it's community. It's people like you who make it a pleasure to come back day after day. Not only for your wonderful work Po' but for being a part of something special.And for you to give back to the community[which you certainly have by all the work you do!]Says alot about your character.would i want that subsciption, of course i would! but whether i win or not, you have my complete respect for being a pretty stand up guy.I also want to congratulate you on you winning! HOORAY!! those icons were just great Po'. great job! Let us also congratulate the other people for a job well done! you folks are a real asset to this community! much respect.

I have the money I just don't have a credit card (I'm only 15!), sending the money in slowmail is just that: SLOW, and I don't know how to use paypal with my bank account.

Night Train kept my OD subscription going(yay Craig)so I could go on being a proper skinner.Gee whiz Mister PO...I aint never had a Winc subscription...golly that would be just swell...

maybe a friend or your dad, mum, uncle , etc... could buy it if you give them the money....

I think it is great that you would offer your subscription to someone else. I would like to be considered. I am retired, disabled and on a fixed income. Things like subscriptions are extra's and never seem to fit in the budget if you can call it that Thanks

I've had an OD subscription for 2 years even tho I eat ramen noodles the month I pay to renew. I love everything here! I send everyone I know a screenshot of your "Shut Up and Kiss Me" on my computer. Whenever I repair my friends' computers, I always put the freeware items on them. I do offer to remove it when they pick their computers up. But I also tell them regular old Windows hurts my eyes! (It really does after being here.) If I receive your gift, I would be glad to purchase something like Windowblinds as a gift to give to my sister and brother-in-law, who gave me my first computer in 2000. Or to one of the people whose computers I fix. I would also give the WC to them as well. Obviously, no one ever wants me to remove the demos!

I would love to be considered for the subscription! I'm still fairly new to WC and everything, but I'm really loving what I'm seeing! I am a college student halfway through my studies of being a music major.

It never ceases to amaze me how many really nice people are still left in the world... You definitely qualify by giving away your subscription!

I never used wincustomize until dreamscene was released. (I never knew about it). Now Im hooked! My 4 year old son and I love browsing all the different dreams, logons, wallpapers, etc. I would like to win the prize you are offering becasue my son and I check for new content EVERY day! I am a single dad, and while I could afford my own subscription, you have to have your priorities straight. And clothing and food are a LITTLE more important than customizing our PC Thank you for the oppurtunity, and wheteher I win or not, its a great thing you are doing. THANK YOU!

I think you should give it to Pjdark, great person with a great attitude. (plus my wife and I have 4 young'n's too. I know how it is for 1. To have to keep providing financially and 2. To need a place to get away to from time to time..some quiet time.

You just keep giving & giving PO'. You do awesome work and can make me laugh so hard my belly hurts. I am only posting on this thread to say I think you are an example that many can follow.
I would like to give a vote for Bandit4edu....He made an wonderful Kyodia icon for me as well ...but not only that..you know how much time he spends on that request thread and is always so kind.
I am not trying to belittle anyone else's request for the subscription...each of you deserve it as well.

And Night Train...there you go again...Another awesome person helping another skinner who also has contributed so much to this site. I.R. you deserve it

Very classy, Po. I'd like to donate mine too. I'm not going to try to upstage you here by starting my own event, so you just choose the TWO people you think deserve it and Wincustomize can give mine away as well. Not that I don't appreciate it, but I'm going to renew mine every year regardless, so I'd love to give another person a chance to be a subscriber. The contest for me was not about the prize, but about skinning! This contest has inspired me to start work on my first IconPack, which should hopefully be released sometime in April.

So, Admins, if you're reading this, I wanna give mine away too... just let Po' decide the two people who deserve it! After all, he was the winner!
