I CANT MOVE MY ICONS!!!!

Hey, i'm runniy windows vista RC1 on a Nforce 3 with 1gb ram and a 2800 semperon and a Nvidia 6600 why can' i move my icons across my desktop?

In Regular Vista you just right-click on your desktop , highlight View move right and un-check auto-arrange and align to grid ( by just clicking on them ) if their checked and then you can move your icons to any position on your desktop - i guess it would be the same in RC1 version ?
