Data corruption at Wincustomize?
Thursday, March 15, 2007 by JcRabbit | Discussion: WinCustomize Site Issues
This has been happening all over Wincustomize from what I've heard, but I'm going to talk specifically about the Winstep gallery.
Right in the first page, preview images for Eminence and NX-WaterBath are missing. If you try to download the actual themes with IE, you get a File Not Found error. If you try the same with FireFox, you do get a download, but the theme's zip file is always corrupt.
The Eminence preview was visible yesterday. Today it's gone. Whatever it is, it's spreading.
Furthermore (and I don't know if this is related or not because .Zero - the author of Eminence - recently changed his nick at Wincustomize to tehZERO) but ALL of his theme previews are gone (the thumbnails in his Info page are still visible, though, but try following them and you will see what I mean).
John T Folden, however, did NOT change his nick and his NX-Waterbath theme is having the same problems (as well as other themes by different authors all over Wincustomize), so I suspect it might have something to do with data corruption (hope not and that is just a problem with an index or something).
Anyway, I did my part in letting you guys know about the problem - now it's up to you.
Thanks and Best Regards,
Jorge Coelho

Well, probably me too: yesterday I sent an email to that address as well. Better safe than sorry.

Anyway, thanks Nickie!
