Just wondering how many of you have ever been just cruising the gallery, and saw that one skin, that one wallpaper, that one icon package, logon, bootskin, or anything that you just had to have? It's an awesome feeling when you finally find a skin that makes everything perfect, and makes all your friends rush out to download it! My experience is still clear in my mind.

the skin was Beelzebub, and the author was the almighty Boxxi. i downloaded it, installed it, and used it for 8 months straight, until my PC died, and i had to wait. Now, it's back on my main Gaming Machine, and i LOVE IT! after all this time, i still use it! my buddy uses a new skin every week, and thinks im crazy!
i think i'm more "set in my ways" than a normal person, but oh well. Just a quick Shout out,

Ah yes...my winCustomize moment yesterday was to install and run the SG-1 WB along with the Cylon CursorXP and a number of walls I DLed from the link provided on the SG-1 DL page. Got so carried away I spent hours surfing for Stargate minutiae and tidbits. In the process I found some stunning Battlestar Galctica things I couldn't live without.
Then...
Along came Night Train's Quatai WB, walls, and CursorXP...and Rainlendar extra-large set.
Startup today saw Quatai running at boot...all day, and now on into the afternoon.
I'm about to have another WC moment, it feels like...will it be a new DX theme, blind, wall, cursor, icon set(Clipboard at the moment). Maybe have to go and check the DX widgets, gadgets, objects one more time...
On the other hand, Quatai looks great just as it is so maybe I'll go outside and carve a Pinewood Racer for my son's race Friday night.
Then...

Same here on the SG-1 WB. I had to stop what I was doing and search WC for stuff that was worthy of being on my desktop with it...That hasn't happened in good long while,and I am not even a SG-1 fan.

Me....well I never have A WC moment....
WC is the moment....one long continuous moment cos there's just too many great & wonderful skinners/skins to define any one moment as extra special over another.
Do I have favorites! Oh yeah, but there's too many of 'em to list here....and when I've assembled the components to my satisfaction, I save the desktop in ThemeManager to readily apply when I desire a change to another fav skin suite.
However, being a sci.fi buff, one set of skins that jumped off the page at me saying "Get me, get me" was the 'Not of this Earth' series by IR Braniac. Also, the Dune series of skins by Netbadger were automatic downloads, as was Boxxi's Engine Room DX theme and vStyler's Stargate WB.
All in all the quality of skins across the site is exceptional and I applaud each and every skinner for their efforts and contributions, the fantastic skins they create for us.
Orright, I'm gonna sod off before somebody accuses me off brown-nosing just to get the Stargate SG1 IP set and a Stargate Atlantis suite I'd very much like.

Same here.However, being a sci.fi buff, one set of skins that jumped off the page at me saying "Get me, get me" was the 'Not of this Earth' series by IR Braniac.
Have screenshot ready with that one. SG-1 is on it's way to my desktop. My moment never ends. So many skins to choose from. So many artistic styles on Wc...nearly impossible to single out any one skin. One day it's pirates, ala Sunken Treasure, next day tripping the rift with a time theme...at one time I had a diferent theme on my desktop every day for a solid month. Then there's collecting them...from WB's to cursors to DX themes...you name it. The best...when I can combine a DX theme with a WB and just sit back and enjoy. WC is the best thing that has happened in this one's mundane existence.Kudos to everyone...you all rock.

I very rarely see a negative post or comment. (except for a certain russian who got "ripped off") most of the comments are either compliments or constructive criticism. I was wary of uploading right away because i wanted to feel this place out, but it's a wonderful community, and just as soon as i can complete a nice big pile of stuff(walls, logons, windowblinds, and icons), i want to start the uploading spree of goodness!
i agree wholeheartedly...can't wait to be one of those rockers!

haha, well i cant seem to keep the same background on my computer for more than a few days....maybe that explains why i have thousands upon thousands...

My most recent happened yesterday...I had spent a few hours viewing the forums and as usual My last stop before logging out is to check the galleries...Not looking for anything particular...skimming in fact and I saw the WB Stargate SG1...viewed the screenshot and promptly download & applied it immediately...Then I spent the next 20 minutes opening windows...checking the startmenu just taking in all the details. I had seen a preview of it in a screenshot & was looking forward to it...It surpassed my expectations...
