BSOD-like thing in XP on Bootskin

Monday, March 12, 2007 by Zurenriri | Discussion: Customization Software

Hi,

This is the sixth time I have attempted to customize my bootskin. Each time I apply the skin (and I tried using more than one), after restarting my computer, I get a blue error screen for a split second and then it reboots with the regular skin.

Infomation:
Processor ~ Intel P4HT
OS ~ Windows XP
PC and Manufacturer ~ HP Pavilion a350n
Manufacture Date ~ October 7, 2003
Graphics Card ~ Nvidia GeForce IV AGP8X
RAM ~ Either 256MB or 512MB, can't remember
Please ask for any other information if needed.

Thank you.

bootskin due to different bios doesn't work for everyone
there's more than one version at the bootskin page
if one doesn't work, try another

has it ever worked for you?

One time I got a skin to stay on for one reboot, that was it.
Another time, I never got a blue screen, but the boot screen never changed.
And a friend told me I needed a certain thing from Windows Update...
