I remember how the forum used to be a place to get help. a place to have fun, a serious or silly place. Look at the 2 threads that have thousands of replies. Start from the begining of them. You will get an idea. I remember when people like elvee, wolfman, Fuzzy Logic, Jafo [and so many more that are no longer with us], used to post to help people and to have fun. We used to have a ball. Yes, there was a flame or disagreements now and then and most of the time we all got together and were still friends. I enjoyed helping people and partaking in the humors side. It was fun and enjoyable to come here. Its not anymore. Seems people don't want to have fun, just tear people apart. I guess thats the way they have fun. Just some of my thoughts.

When I disappeared from this sharing forum/website (not that I feel so self-important that it mattered...I'm not an ego-maniac lol) but when I did fade away...it wasn't because of anything or anyone here EVER. And I face the humble fact that I was never a brilliant skinner...I tried to put my heart into what I did and that's the only part of anything I ever made that I take pride in. I never made anything even closely resembling some of the wonderful, genius works here. I was just happy as a clam to even figure stuff out on my own!
I'm sorry to those whom perhaps thought I'd abandoned them on a personal level ...THAT is what I'm especially ashamed of. I was going through some real ugly personal issues and my creative spark went into a very dark and sad place. My soul went into an even darker realm.
--Then, I stopped having any fun and using custom skins except for icons because I just didn't care how my desktop looked any longer (except for an occasional wallpaper change). Partly out of being blue but mostly because my computers are all 3+ years and older now and as wonderful as those skinnin' things once were for me at a certain time in my life they just seem a bit superfluous for my current needs.
I used to wear my heart on my sleeve too much (okay, okay, I still do but now my heart has a few well-earned calluses)...
And despite the time that has gone by I still think of ya'll...
OT but as much as Brad/Frogboy has been maligned and vilified by folks I also know there are plenty who really like and respect him (I can't claim to KNOW him any more than he can me but eventually if you hang around *any* place long enough you get a gut *feel* about someone). It's not even about kissing ass IMHO...it's about truth and fact over emotions and drama in the end. Unfortunately, you can't be "mister nice guy" in any sort of SUCCESSFUL business...you have to sometimes draw up a wall between who you really are at your heart and core and who you are as a CEO/Business Owner etc. Surprisingly, FB shows a lot more heart than most in his position would...and gives a lot more than most would too...however unappreciated it seems to be in the end.
I've stirred the pot plenty in the past and learned how foolish and childish I was in the end (I still cry but mostly for others now and not for myself). I clashed with many folks that I later made amends with...Bakerstreet comes to mind.
No, I don't see many familiar faces here any longer...but time moves on...and when things were active it was perhaps that small, cozy 'nucleus' feeling that formed a certain intimacy...with a few very hard core regulars?
All I can say is...I have only happy memories...even when I got exiled once I knew I deserved it...it's a blonde thing...yeah, that's my excuse and I already need a root touch-up!
I'm making fonts now...I hope to go commercial soon but I'm still trying to master it before I go 'there'... If you'd like to download my first freeware font it's on Dafont now... http://www.dafont.com/moxyroxie.font
It's a 'girlie' font I know...so probably not much appreciate here. *chuckle*
But I'm trying and learing as always...and that's all life can give us in the end is learning, forgiving and kindess and love and truth.

I'm powerless over fonts and my life has become unmanageable because of them. Have to regularly strip down to the basic ones I use and put the FONTS folder on CD to make room on the HD. Have six years of fonts all over the place, in drawers, on shelves, under dust...
I don't make 'em, just use 'em.
