Setting up multiple network?
Friday, March 2, 2007 by thomassen | Discussion: Multiplicity
In my house we got a wireless internett connection which everybody share.
In order to ensure good performance and transferrate between the computers I got connected through MP I used a spare router I had to connect them through wire.
My main computer connects to the wireless network and my local wired LAN.
My seconday connects only to the wired LAN.
I tried setting up a network bridge on my main comp which allowed both my comps to connect to the internet. However, it seemed to mess up the internet for my housemates. Their comps used my wired router as gateway and DSN for some reason.
So instead of having to manually configure each of my housemates computers I removed the bridge.
So currently my second computer connects fine with my primary computer, but I get no internet access on my secondary. I can't seem to configure the network to allow both my comps to connect to the internet.
Have anyone done this? How do you do it?
