Problem with LogonStudio
error message pops up
Thursday, March 1, 2007 by Jakerow | Discussion: Customization Software
I mentioned about this problem before and someone suggested me to re-install my windows and update to SP2...
so I did! I re-installed my windows and updated to SP2. I have Windwos XP Home Version 2002 with SP2.
and when I apply my logons it pops up with error message...
it says
Parser Message
value creation failed" at line 8
so if I press ok then it pops up again for about 10 times, and then it goes to classic logon...
I thought this is logon theme problem, but when I change to other logon theme, it pops up with same message, but different number...
I really don't know what to do..
my bootskin, icons, windows blinds, cursorXP works fine, but not logons!!!!
someone please help me...

Linksys wireless is known to be a problem with logons but I don't know about Atheros.
That's all I can tell you at the moment. Sorry.

it works
what I did is I changed every language systems (langauge inpu, unicode, non-unicoe) to English and run logon to apply theme.
it worked and I just changed my setting back to Korean, but still works!
I guess once it activated logons with English, it doesn't have problem with being Korean setting
thanks for the tip!
I never thought about it haha

Ok I've got it now. I may be a noob/newb but I think I found out something useful to add for fixing this problem. You can use LogonStudios to make a logon from scratch but it requires either the skill to make a bitmap file picture or simply download a free logon like Boss'.
Here's the thing; you only need to copy one of the bitmaps, paste it where you want to save the file, and replace the picture that is in the bitmap with your own and save. The picture was opened in paint automatically for me and it turned out I didn't need Photoshop. This will give you your own bitmap but instead of ripping someone elses entire logon (Boss' or anyone elses) you can just use one file and create the rest in LogonStudios using the tutorial.
I did it and it worked so just for the people who are starting out and don't know how to make bitmaps (like me) that's one way of doing it. The specific editing of these things, like positioning, has already been covered by Boss in another topic.
