Prevent apps stealing focus on Vista

Tuesday, February 27, 2007 by thomassen | Discussion: Windows Vista

How do you prevent apps from stealing the focus of the forground window on Vista?
I searched for it and all the articles all refer to the same registry key that has to be changed. Which I have, but it doesn't work. Windows still steals focus which is very annoying when I'm typing something.
Anyone managed to get this working?

The XP solution did actually work. Turns out that some app had disabled it again. grrr! (Seriously, who do they do this?!)
I think I'll set up a .reg file to make sure this setting is maintained.
