stupid problem

here's a stupid problem that's prob been answered many times. when using my show desktop quicklaunch icon, my objects disappear. I've tried using the F10 toggle key, but only some of them reappear. If I click the object desktop in systray, everything returns....also, if instead of using show desktop shortcut, I minimize each window manually, i don't have the problem

If all you want to do is minimize all windows, press Winkey + d, press that combination again to maximize

basically, kinda, show desktop overlays your desktop on everything else.
There's and DTX widget you can use: RabidRobot's The Hardest Button to Button
