Dream Submission Guidelines

As the # of animated wallpapers submitted increases, we're having to establish some guidelines on what is and isn't going to be accepted:
- Content MUST loop. An animated wallpaper should have a reasonably transitioning loop.
- Do NOT submit content other people's work without their permission. We are allowing some leeway right now on this rule for content that is based on content distributed on the net until we determine the legality of this.
- Content must be high-definition. That means the vertical resolution needs to be at least 720 pixels.
Additional rules on fair use of video clips:
- The animations used in the .Dream file is either 15 seconds in length of shorter OR less than 25% of the original video file in length (whichever is shorter). So if you found a 20 second video you want to use in a Dream, you can use no more than 5 seconds of that video. Anything else, you are limited to 15 seconds.
- You provide credit to the original author in the skin comments AND provide a link to your original source.
- Understand that if the original owner of the work asks us to take it down, provided proof of ownership, we will comply immediately.
If you find your work is being redistributed here against your wishes, please contact a site admin with some form of proof that you own the original work, and we will remove the offending entry immediately.

moshi...yes, the OP is the guidelines.
If you have a specific query might I suggest contacting the author for clarification...
However the one to which you refer appears to be over 25% and has been removed.

Moshi has it right.
It seems almost every single one of 3planesoft's products have been copied and posted here by a couple of "authors", some of them multiple times by different people. These are commercial products that have been poorly copied and made available here, some with links actually pointing right back to 3planesoft and some with nothing at all.
It's one thing to make a dream from a movie, but it seems shady to copy another artists work and use it to make a poor copy of their own commercial product.
I mean 3planesoft is selling screensavers with animated desktops. Their animations are being made in to dreams and distributed for free. I just can't see how it is fair use to take another artists product they are selling, copying it and giving it away for free?

As far as My Gallery is concerned ( don't know about others ) any 3planetsoft video that was
uploaded as a dream ( within WC site guidelines ) has been deleted.
I went trough my gallery and deleted any dreams thought to be made with their video.
If I missed one let me know and I can delete .
So in fairness to 3planetsoft.com you can go to their site and check out their options.
Note: some deleted dreams might take a little time for the delete to clear out of the gallery .

I just can't see how it is fair use to take another artists product they are selling, copying it and giving it away for free?
As in the guidelines above it has been designated that 'fair use' would be no more than 25% of a total video or 15 seconds - whichever is the lessor - to be used/uploaded in converted format [dream].
