Flaming Desktop

I would like to see a flaming desktop. I tried to create one, but my skills are lacking greatly in the computer graphics dept. If someone knows where I can find a full screen High Rez flaming animation to use as my desktop it would be greatly appreciated. Fill free to reach me at [email protected]

Please make a Dreamscene video with some flames too. I would really appreciate that.
Maybe something with a black screen and flames licking up from the bottom.

do you mean something like the Ye ol' fire harth they put on TV around christmass. If so then one could crop a bit of the footage to just get the fire insde and not the harth itself and put it on a loop, or are you looking for more of a stylized fire animation.

that would be nice for some people. but I looking for a screen that is totally engulfed in a rolling flame.

Go Here. The links do not work directly for me, but if you goto this page, you can right-click on any of the WMV demos and "Save As" to download them to your computer. Since they are WMV's, you can then rclick them and set them as your background.

Too bad they are low resolution but I suppose if you really like one, you could see how much a high-res version costs.


Also,

These guys have some great animations that would be good backgrounds. Here is one example. They have a "free animation" signup which I might do to see if they have anything good for free.

Easy way to make one...

Install the flames screensavers
change your desktop wallpaper to a picture you want to be all in flames
start the screensaver
press print screen
save it in paint or photoshop or whatever you want

And VOILA!

BTW sorry for my bad english, i'm a french canadian!

DONE - I made 2 Flaming Dreams 1- Flames burning at normal fast speed with big fireball blast at the end of the loop and 2- Just Flames only burning at a little slower than normal speed No fireball in that one - I now have though 10 things waiting for approval so not sure when you'll see the Flame Dreams - Look for them soon i hope ...

I've submitted 'FireScape'. As mentioned in the comments I submitted, I may be releasing a flawlessly looped, HD, wide-screen version based on the feedback I get on the first version. Let me know if there'd be any interest in this.

OK Navy - it's done - Final Version turned in now we wait - glad I pulled the 1st version - this one is better - complete with full sound effects too. starts with big fireball exploding onto the DT into burning flames - so play with sound or mute - anyway I call it ( Fireball Flaming DT w/sound effects ) - I have several things waiting for approval so not sure how long a week maybe , they are slow at the approvals - in the case they don't except it , i'll get you a copy some how - you can click on my name any time and leave a mess at my site - Enjoy - i run it on a res of 1280x1024 it looks and sounds good , later .
