Please Test DreamScene HD Video

Saturday, February 17, 2007 by AaronSpence | Discussion: Animated Wallpapers

G'day Guys,

I don't have Vista Ultimate yet, but should soon. I the meantime I've prepared an HD video loop from an extremely high resolution virtual tour. It's a 60 second loop of 1080P 25fps MPG video, and weighs in at 47MB. I tried uploading it to the gallery, but it's not a .dream file and perhaps too big to upload? The page kept throwing an error after a while of uploading.

Once you've had a look please post back here (or email etc) to let me know how it goes & any problems etc. And whether you like it as a background or not.

And finally, if you want to know more about the place in this video you can read about it in my blog here: Destinations

Thanks, Aaron.

That place is absolutely stunning! As a vista background, though, I personally can't handle a video with a moving camera. I would have enjoyed this with a still camera video containing the sculpture and subtle motion in the scene - a breeze, birds, wildlife, etc.

Thanks for that. It is a beautiful place alright.

I appreciate your feedback on the movement as well, as I don't know if it will work or not for most people. (Haven't tried it myself yet)

A still video camera wouldn't have worked too well in this spot, as nothing was moving except for the clouds, and we'd need a least a few minutes of loop to see that

Thanks, Aaron.

Thanks kadyo.

Anyone else got some input? I'm wanting to determine if I should make more of these or leave it alone. I've had over 70 downloads (more than 4Gb's) and only 3 replys.

Thanks, Aaron.

Well, not bad at all. I agree with others - I can't stand moving camera on my background as well and it was apperent that this video was created of a panoramatic photo. I believe one scene with moving objects would be pretty good. But I realize It would be more less impossible to create such screen from nature.
