start an ani file from call

What I'm trying to accomplish is,I have an object with three state's 1,2,3,on state 1 it is a plain png that i want to load on start-up, state 2 is an ani that i would like to replay from start on call (message} which is a load scene.and state 3 is basically ani 2 Playing backward's so it unloads again. I Know that there is an example out there but I can't remember where .Any help would be greatly appreciated.
