Vista Tip: Opening pst files without crashing rundll32...

There you are sitting comfortably, having just installed Office into Windows Vista, only to be confronted by the shock of not being able to import your e-mails (via a pst you saved earlier...). You either try to set up Outlook to open the pst as a data file, or, use the import feature in Outlook. Nothing happens, exept maybe a cryptic message about rundll32 having to close. Sigh... it's the wonderful DEP (Data Execution Prevention) doing it's job, you know, preventing you from opening legitimate files...
Fortunately, you can disable DEP:
Go to Start > All Programs > Accessories, right click 'Command Prompt' and select 'Run as Administrator'. You can then type in "bcdedit.exe /set {current} nx AlwaysOff" and press Enter. It should tell you if it has been successful. You can now safely open your pst (or any other) file without DEP throwing a wobbly.
To re-enable DEP, follow the above procedure except type "bcdedit.exe /set {current} nx AlwaysOn"
