Sysmetrix and wireless signal

Friday, January 5, 2007 by Childerik | Discussion: Sidebar

Hello.

I have a problem with sysmetrix wireless signal gauge.

I run on Intel PRO/Wireless 2200BG with Windows XP SP2, and my gateway is a LinkSys WRT54G. The WLAN is only 802.11g. My SysMetrix version is 3.40.

Now, the wireless signal gauge is over 100% permanently (more exactly between 120% and 138% depending on distance). I have found no possibility to modify configuration files or registry item about wireless signal in SysMetrix to get true values.

Is a known problem ? Is a patch exists ?

Thanks.

I asked this same question a year or 2 ago and as I remember the value is NOT % but rather signal strength based on some actual unit measurement. I couldn't find the thread and I can't remember what the unit is. Just so you know there is a newer version out (3.41)

Thank you for your answer.

I update to 3.41, but nothing better.

It would be very nice if you can find thread
