How do you change resolution?

I currently run a 1280x800 and I would like to run a 1280x1024. 1280x1024 isn't a option on my computer resolution. Help please

You might be able to do it by adjusting your screen refresh rate (proceed at your own risk!) but if your video adapter doesn't support the resolution, it's probably going to look terrible anyway....

That's probably why you can't make the switch, the widescreen won't allow it.

Bebi Bulma is right the fact that the machine has a wide screen will not allow you to make the resoluton change to 1280x1024 check what is the next higher resolution it might be something with 1280 as the initial number and a bigger second number so as to compensate for the wide. You also wouldnt want to change to 1280x1024 with your screen because the aspect ratios are different and things would get chrunched together or scretched and nothing would look right.
