change widgets to objects

Thursday, December 14, 2006 by iknowwhatilike | Discussion: DesktopX

I want more control over the visibility of the widgets.
I want to be able to hide them one at a time.

the hot key hides them all.

So I figured if they were objects, I could set the control to hide them.

Or if there is a script to show or hide a single widget, that would work too.

I thank you in advance.

Open DesktopX in Builder mode > if you haven't already, open DX config > Select the Desktop Tab > click import > find the widget you want to import and make changes.

thank you very much.

It's been awhile since I've used DX.
It seems a lot more stable than it used to be.

All widgets have a hide/show option when you right click on the widgets icon in your sys tray. Unless you don't have them set to show in sys tray you can still right click on the widget itself...I use widgets all the time ...doesn't seem to take long to do it this way. But I rarely use Objects so maybe you have a better plan.
