Has anyone been successful in disabling the splash screen in Outlook 2003? I thought there was a registry tweak but when googling only come up with tips for disabling the splash screen in Outlook Express. Thanks in advance.

From http://www.winguides.com/registry/display.php/1146/

System Key: [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Policies\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\
Infodelivery\Restrictions]
Value Name: NoSplash
Data Type: REG_DWORD (DWORD Value)
Value Data: (0 = default, 1 = disable splash)

Thanks - but that tweak is for Internet Explorer splash screen, not for Outlook 2003.

Apparently, disabling this involves hacking the executable file. So you'll need some software like this one

Also, it seems it is possible to edit those images among other things using this app

Both of the options above can adversly affect the application.

Here's another option, have Outlook start automatically and go get a cup of coffee while it loads. No splash screen.
