Help Needed With 'Objects'

Tuesday, November 28, 2006 by croths | Discussion: DesktopX

I've used WindowBlinds for years but I'm brand new to DesktopX and Objects.
I wanted to pretty up my screen for Christmas.
Sorry if this is a really dumb question but how do I apply an Object that is not in .dxpack form?
I downloaded 'Snow Clock' and 'Christmas Lights', they are both folders with several files in them.
Any help much appreciated.

Maureen.

Do you have DesktopX installed?
Did the file you downloaded get renamed to something.zip? If so, rename it to something.dxpack and double click.

Come back if that doesn't help

Yes, I did install DesktopX.
Renaming!!! You know I didn't even think of that. Silly of me, I've had to do it with a few CursorXP downloads. These ones were .zip files, I renamed them and they work great. Thanks very much for jogging my rusty old brain.

Not a problem. Glad it worked!
