Updating the biggest suite ever made : Heavy Equipment
common !!!!
Monday, November 27, 2006 by neophil78 | Discussion: OS Customization
Once upon a time and before (i think
) WinCustomize was created, probably the biggest suite ever made was done, over which, a lot of talented skinners have bring their time and feelings ... i'm talking about HEAVY EQUIPMENT stuff.Apart that i love this suite, i think it would be a great thing, that to increase this spirit of sharing, once again those who would want to, would be OK to update skins to latest softwares versions.
Here's the "main" element (i mean WindowBlinds) https://www.wincustomize.com/ViewSkin.aspx?SID=1&SkinID=1260&LibID=1 but you can also still find
- Iconpackage https://www.wincustomize.com/ViewSkin.aspx?SID=1&SkinID=637&LibID=2
- One Screenshot https://www.wincustomize.com/ViewSkin.aspx?SID=1&SkinID=653&LibID=13 shawing a great part of the suite
- A version of Suite itself https://www.wincustomize.com/ViewSkin.aspx?SID=1&SkinID=101&LibID=22
- A pack of Wallpapers https://www.wincustomize.com/ViewSkin.aspx?SID=1&SkinID=24&LibID=8
- A Winamp https://www.wincustomize.com/ViewSkin.aspx?SID=1&SkinID=17&LibID=10
And probably founding others software skins by searching better ...
As far as i'm concerned, i should be OK to bring up updates to a fiew apps but not for all, and also not for the coordination of it ...

Anyone to build up this project ?

| I agree with jafo, any new stuff should hold true to the originals. |
This isn't open for debate....it's a prerequisite for approval under the banner of the 'Heavy Equipment' suite.
Updating and extending the Community Skin suite must still adhere to the style and graphics of the original....

| d personally like to see the yellow on your cursor more closely match Tycus. |
That's a definite...if it's to be included/listed as 'Heavy Equipment'.
All the suite skins were based directly/specifically from the same image set....which is why the suite looks unified, even though there were so many different skinners involved.
There were then and are still now many skins using yellow/black stripes...but ONLY those true to the original graphic set can be accepted to be included now, years after the originals...

Hey guys you're right about the orange, but at it's normal size it's darker, so I thought it would fit great, but guess not

I was also thinking to help in getting everyone communicating better we should make a Heavy Equipment channel on IRC
