Updating the biggest suite ever made : Heavy Equipment

common !!!!

Monday, November 27, 2006 by neophil78 | Discussion: OS Customization

Yep everyone, Skinning is (for me, and probably for the much part of you) firstly a question of sharing.

Once upon a time and before (i think ) WinCustomize was created, probably the biggest suite ever made was done, over which, a lot of talented skinners have bring their time and feelings ... i'm talking about HEAVY EQUIPMENT stuff.

Apart that i love this suite, i think it would be a great thing, that to increase this spirit of sharing, once again those who would want to, would be OK to update skins to latest softwares versions.

Here's the "main" element (i mean WindowBlinds) https://www.wincustomize.com/ViewSkin.aspx?SID=1&SkinID=1260&LibID=1 but you can also still find
- Iconpackage https://www.wincustomize.com/ViewSkin.aspx?SID=1&SkinID=637&LibID=2
- One Screenshot https://www.wincustomize.com/ViewSkin.aspx?SID=1&SkinID=653&LibID=13 shawing a great part of the suite
- A version of Suite itself https://www.wincustomize.com/ViewSkin.aspx?SID=1&SkinID=101&LibID=22
- A pack of Wallpapers https://www.wincustomize.com/ViewSkin.aspx?SID=1&SkinID=24&LibID=8
- A Winamp https://www.wincustomize.com/ViewSkin.aspx?SID=1&SkinID=17&LibID=10
And probably founding others software skins by searching better ...

As far as i'm concerned, i should be OK to bring up updates to a fiew apps but not for all, and also not for the coordination of it ...

Anyone to build up this project ?

Running all the available components right now,

That's not even possible to do.....not when the alternate shells are included....

No, it's not....have a look at the list on page one....count the shells...good luck trying to run them all at once....

Don't run other shells but DX, WB, and what's shown on the shot.
DA shows a lot of thumbs of different shellstyles but the links are dead to download many of them. A lot of programs have come and gone over the years. Some I've used, like hoverdesk and litestep, either wouldn't run with others or mainly, when running one, it wasn't practical to try and run another simultaneously. Maybe an example might be running DX with icons on the desktop and Windowblinds taskbar visible. Why would you want/need to do it? I don't run icons with DX, but usually run the taskbar on autohide in case I want it (see shot   ...or not)
So, technically, it was my grammatical error when I stated "...running all the available components right now". I should perhaps have said, "running many of the most popular components...". I stand corrected. At this point, the nuns would have stood me at the blackboard with my nose touching it all day Saturday for eight hours. Mea culpa. I am chagrined and humbled.
But the screenshot's cool, huh?

There you go.....'run' that one as well...

MP3 by Transmutate....originally for the Heavy Equipment Suite ..... uploaded again here for that gooey sense of 'completeness''....

Skinhit....it wasn't about 'winning' something....it was about the reaffirming that the HE Suite was big enough to suit everyone's particular proggy/shell preferences....something none had tried/succeeded in doing before or since....and that's why it's so special...

China...you know, I always thought that...but Snow seemed so sure...

I better fix things....Grim will have my proverbials otherwise...though I haven't heard from him for about a year.

BTW...that is you on the vocals, right?....

It'll be sorted in a day or so, I expect...
