Updating the biggest suite ever made : Heavy Equipment

common !!!!

Monday, November 27, 2006 by neophil78 | Discussion: OS Customization

Yep everyone, Skinning is (for me, and probably for the much part of you) firstly a question of sharing.

Once upon a time and before (i think ) WinCustomize was created, probably the biggest suite ever made was done, over which, a lot of talented skinners have bring their time and feelings ... i'm talking about HEAVY EQUIPMENT stuff.

Apart that i love this suite, i think it would be a great thing, that to increase this spirit of sharing, once again those who would want to, would be OK to update skins to latest softwares versions.

Here's the "main" element (i mean WindowBlinds) https://www.wincustomize.com/ViewSkin.aspx?SID=1&SkinID=1260&LibID=1 but you can also still find
- Iconpackage https://www.wincustomize.com/ViewSkin.aspx?SID=1&SkinID=637&LibID=2
- One Screenshot https://www.wincustomize.com/ViewSkin.aspx?SID=1&SkinID=653&LibID=13 shawing a great part of the suite
- A version of Suite itself https://www.wincustomize.com/ViewSkin.aspx?SID=1&SkinID=101&LibID=22
- A pack of Wallpapers https://www.wincustomize.com/ViewSkin.aspx?SID=1&SkinID=24&LibID=8
- A Winamp https://www.wincustomize.com/ViewSkin.aspx?SID=1&SkinID=17&LibID=10
And probably founding others software skins by searching better ...

As far as i'm concerned, i should be OK to bring up updates to a fiew apps but not for all, and also not for the coordination of it ...

Anyone to build up this project ?

If you two kids keep bickering we may have to redefine the "community" part of this project

BTW, is someone working on a logon screen for Vista ?

There are "only" 76 images to do, plus a throbber animation and a startup sound. Among those there are the 13 different backgrounds and I think 10 elements that have HighDPI versions, so it's a little bit smaller than that.

Anyone up to the task ?

I dont think Tycus' cursor is officially HE. It is a great looking cursor however, I wish I could get it to work.

crashing problems? there is no answare for this yet., the only thing i know about this problem is what i'm experimenting.., when cursorXP crashed on my pc is when i try to load the skin directly from the list., to prevent this problem you have to into your cursor themes folder and double clic the theme.., i dont know if the problem is that cursorxp cant handle the animations of my cursor.., but the only theme that i haven't seen doing that is D'Cromium., a simple non-bussy skin.....

...maybe it's time to make a mayor update to cursorXP

Right Tycus, the only way for me also to apply your cursor is to click on The HeavyXX.CurXPTheme ... if choosen in the CursorXP Prog it's crashing as i mentionned. BUT i never saw this trouble before with none of the cursor package which are installed, the first one are yours ...

I just wonder (and think i'm not the only one) to know once and for all if Snowman is really on the WB5 update or not, and if not who should want to do it ???

Some widgets would be nice also (weather, calendar, clock, calc, etc ...), though, specialists of widgets should do some ...
