Border/box in start menu

Friday, November 24, 2006 by jman2134 | Discussion: Skinning

Hi. I'm a newbie to SkinStudio and I'm working on my first ever skin. I have a question though.

In the above image, see the blue gradiented border around 'Mozilla Firefox' when I move my cursor on it? In my skin when I move my mouse over the programs there is no box. How do I get a box around my programs?

Thanks!

From Explorer tree, Start Panel, Item. It is an image, open Vista Plus in SkinStudio to see how the image is done, size, frames etc.

I got that image in Vista Plus. It doesn't look anything like it does in reality. Why is that?

Also, which image is this one?

Thanks a bunch!

The image is very transparent, so they way it looks in reality is the combo of the start menu and the transparent image.
Looking at the image you posted. it looks like the graphics/paint software you are using does not support transparency, which would be why you are not seeing what the image actually looks like.
MS Paint maybe?

2 below Item, More Programs Menu, sub of it is Item.
