Microsoft Rewards Select Vista Beta Testers

While the big headlines have been Microsoft releasing the Vista RTM to MSDN subscribers and Technet, they also released the RTM version on Connect. Beta testers who submitted at least one bug will get their choice between a free license for either Vista Business, or Vista Ultimate Edition.
This is only available to technical beta testers who participated, not to the public customer prevew program. Paul Donnelly, Test Manager for Windows Beta programs, he said "It's a balance, and I decided to err on the side of customer happiness in requiring only a single bug to qualify".

I wouldn't mind if MS rewads me with 'wads' of cash. Then I could buy the whole family a Vista license; get myself that iMac I so dearly wanna try out....and a blow-up doll.
Gets a bit lonesome when the wife stays at home and I'm sitting by myself on the bus with nobody to talk to.
Now back to MS & Vista: Was in Dick Smith Electronics (Oz) a couple of days ago and they have MS posters stating that persons who purchase XP now are guaranteed delivery of Vista when released in early '07. XP home gets you Vista Home Premium....XP Pro gets you the Vista Business Edition. There was no mention of Vista Ultimate upgrades, but for someone still running 98, ME or 2000, (even upgrading from XP Home to XP Pro) it would be a less expensive way to acquire Vista and have a dual boot with XP.
Already have a copy of XP Home and two of XP Pro (one for the wife), but at AUD$120 right now, it might be worth getting another copy of XP Pro to qualify for the Vista Business Edition offer.....hmmmmm.
