Shutdown Button

Monday, November 6, 2006 by Kinjin | Discussion: LogonStudio

I have been having a very difficult time relocating the shutdown button. I have looked at the code of other peoples logins. I can see how the extra section is added, and image size is determined, etc. For the life of me, I can't see where the actual input is to offset and move it. I would never change someone else's work and try to pawn it off as my own. That's why I want to learn how to do it myself. Is there anyone out there that could post where the code is located?

it's done in the uisfiles i believe - you need one of the logon people to verify.

what I do know = if you change it in the file DO NOT open it in LS edit mode or it will screw up.

Where are you trying to move the shutdown button? Are you trying to change a standard Logon Studio logon or are you trying to create a "Splash" type of logon with the userpanes and shutdown in the center of the logon? Those can't be done with Logon Studio, they require a different uifile and theme.ini and have to be made by editing the code in the files. If you need any help, you can email me and let me know what you are trying to do and I'll give you an hand.

I tried to research this on my own a little, before I posted. So I have been looking at the code in different uifiles. I know that loginstudio messes up the code, so I have been sure not to open it with that program. I am familiar with html, and have been able to find everything else I need for color, size, etc. I see the shutdown button in two locations. Where it's inserted with different states, and down at the bottom.

I am trying to do a "Splash" type logon. I will email you when I get home Boss Thanks for your help everyone
