Where in the World...
Where do our winners hail from?

Sometimes we forget that The Internet is really an international forum of sorts. A place for people from all over the globe to meet and exchange ideas, and in our case artwork. This year's competition is a good reminder that artistic talent knows no geographic or political boundaries as we have received submissions and visitors daily from all over the planet.
Just looking at our visitor statistics, we have people coming from the US, Canada, South America, Europe, the Middle East, Russia, China, India, South-East Asia, Australia and New Zealand. However, since this is a competition, the most interesting data is where the winners are from. So, based on our site and account records, I've tallied where our winners so far are from.
| Country | Flag | Gold | Silver | Bronze |
| China |
|
2 | 4 | 1 |
| United States |
|
1 | 0 | 2 |
| Russia |
|
0 | 0 | 1 |
| Australia |
|
1 | 0 | 0 |
So far, China is way ahead of everyone else in the world! They especially cleaned up in the icon events, turning out the best work we've seen in years.
We've added a "Winning Countries" box below the medal counts on the right, showing how many medals per country have been awarded. It will be updated through to the end of the competition.
And again, a big round of applause for our Chinese artists!

Just a note......shouldn't the Aussies be ahead of Russia?

They even put some of the past greatest out of business.
Did not see anything from them.
We have seen great masterpieces from many part of the world.
Looks like JJ Ying is going for multi gold
Yangee, one of the top best, still have one more chance to win in the IP section.
There were so many great entries, and anyone worth being a winner.
There are simply no loser this time around.
Congratulation to all!

How did they put anyone "out of business"? Because some authors chose not to participate doesn't mean that they were scared off by new talent... their motives are wholly their own and they may have outside obligations or concerns.

They put me out of business.
I declared myself a past master without proof.

Just keeping the heat on til the end
