Power off/stadby/hibernate/restart on docks?
how do you do it?

I just downloaded my first dock "ObjectDock" and I know verry little about them and I was wondering if there was a way to use an icon in a Dock to open the power menu to turn off the pc or restart it...ect.
I have a Power Icon and ll but i don't know how to attach the functuin, so i guess Im asking how that would be done?

I used to hate having to ....click....and....wait.....three times to turn off my laptop.
I use an OD+ untabbed dock and this worked for me:
Right click a dock icon & select This Dock > Add > New Shortcut
You'll get a new blue ? dock icon
Right click the new ? icon & click Dock Entry Properties
Fill out properties as follows:
Title: shutdown (...or Off!, or a profanity, or nothing, it's just the text label)
Link: C\WINDOWS\system32\shutdown.exe
Leave "Show folder in a menu" unticked
Arguments: -s -t 0 (note: dash ess space dash tee space zero)
Start in: C:\WINDOWS\system32\
Run: Normal Window
There are other permutations, including logoff, hibernate, time before shutdown, but you'll need to search them, because I can't remember.....

I'm with Zubaz...syscmd is an excellent docklet! I am currently running 5 docks, one of which is solely dedicated to different functions of syscmd - 6 different functions(right click to change the functions). Just search "syscmd" under docklets.

Ooops! wasn't done!
Just be careful with syscmd...if you accidently click logoff or shutdown, there is no stopping it! I tend to use the shutdown dialog for restart, logff, and power options...
