Need help deleting autoplay options

Tuesday, September 19, 2006 by pcrowl08 | Discussion: Windows XP

This has been driving me crazy...I uninstalled Nero 7 Premium, and to my knowlegde there are no remaining files whatsoever, but when I put a cd or dvd in, Nero still appears in the autoplay menu (play w/ Nero Showtime, Encode audio, copy w. burning ROM, etc...).  I know it's not a major problem but I'm so annoyed..if anyone could tell me how to get rid of it I'd really appreciate it.  Thanks, Pete

Thanks but it didn't work...I went in to the registry and deleted everything related to nero in the file extensions, but it still appeared in autoplay...I finally found this program which took care of it, cosmetically anyway. Windows should just let you choose what you want to appear in the menu http://www.softpedia.com/progDownload/Autoplay-Repair-Download-22528.html
