Why do old icons appear in explorer browser

When I am in a program and do a "file open" or "save as" command the original xp icons always show instead of the icon packager versions. The only ones that ever seem to display correctly are the "my music", "my pictures", and "my videos" folder icons, all others folders, disks, file types, etc appear as the original xp version. Does anyone know why, and maybe how to change this behavior?
This only occurs from within programs, i.e. if I explore the start menu, all icons are icon packager versions

This is mostly a user forum and if someone is not experiencing the same issue as you then they can't offer a solution. You could always send a help request to [email protected] explaining your porblem.

Well, this is a common problem that has been there for ages... I guess it must have been reported like a gazillion of times.
