Thememanager problems.

Monday, September 4, 2006 by bboycloud2218 | Discussion: Suites

hey there, I'm having problems when I install Suites on Themesmanager, For some reason alot of the icons don't install, and the taskbar almost never installs, any ideas to get this to work?

P.S. When I first installed theme manager a few were working fine, but then I restarted and since then the only way I can change the taskbar is if I use windowblinds instead... But I just really want my SUITES to work, and not just random icons and taskbar. Thanks alot.

Theme manager utilizes the various programs to change the various components in a theme.

If you're using the trial versions of the programs needed for the parts of themes, then you will still be stuck with limitations - until the trials runout - then you'll just be stuck

Yeah they are the trials, but at the same time it does change my taskbar, and at one time is did completely change my whole suite. It just wasn't quite the look I wanted so I tried to change it after I restarted, and since then it doesn't work. And I restarted more then once, so I know it's not something with the program only bugging out after I installed and restarted comp.

I'm running 2.30.041 - how long have you had it?

You might check to see if there is an updated one.

I just downloaded it from this site about 2 days ago when I first started trying to get a custom setup.

Yes same as Bicher says you need to to the newest version[230.041] through SDcentral or stardock, com itself. And the trick with the taskbar is when youare creating your suite you click file at top left of theme manager It will will bring up a menu box [create new theme]in that box you need the auothers name[of the WB you want to use]And the trick i found is in the comment box you put the full skin name [ie NovumOS standard startbutton]then hit save and the program will do the rest.I had the same problem as you before i started using the comment box trick,I would load my theme and every thing but the WB would load. Started writng the full skin name in comment box and no problems now  Like Bicher said though you need the resident programs for it to work right [WB,Icon pkg, logonstudio, bootskin]And the full versions WB and IP not the trials [bootskin and logonstudio are free]hope that helps
