i am currently doing a skin for the competition, but i have one problem that is driving me insane.
when i click on start and move my mouse to the 'all programs' the default windows blue highlight appears, and ive no idea how to get rid of it, ive tried going into windows display, but that dosent seem to work, even when i save it to windows classic, help greatly appreciated!!!!!

oh, im using xp home, wb trial version and skinstudio trial version (but ive had no trouble skinning with either of them)

In SkinStudio, Explorer tree, Miscellaneous, Colors, on right section tab, Menus, Menu Bar-background (XP Only). Set it to color you want.
If you want to get rid of color highlight, use your More Prograns Panel Background as the base for Arrow. Needs to be 3 states, normal, highlighted and pressed. All 3 states of image need background as base, just make each for how you want each state to look.

Actually, the setting is Menu - Hilighted Background (XP only).

Menu Bar - Background (XP Only) is the color of the start menu itself if it isn't skinned.
