Dual-boot Vista and DOS?

Sunday, September 3, 2006 by Nintennuendo | Discussion: Windows Vista

Dont mean to piggyback on that other topic, but i saw a chance and took it. I'm getting a new laptop for my birthday/christmas and its Vista Capable. Can I make it to run DOS and vista, or will it have the DOSsyness that XP doesnt?

you can run a DOS command line type environment in XP. Haven't heard about Vista yet.

I do know that Monad (the uber command-line shell) was pulled form Vista. But I think Ninntennuendo was asking about dual partitions. I think that might be possible with a partition commander. Not sure why you would want to do so. Old games? Maybe a Dos Box for Vista?

Yes, Dosbox more then likely will run on Windows Vista. I like Dosbox for older Dos Games. I put Dosbox on the C: Drive and install all of my games to a usb 2.0 flash drive
