Changing Logon and Logout Screen

Monday, August 21, 2006 by nizox | Discussion: Beginners

I was recently given by my employer a copy of Windows XP Corporate for my home office. Now that's very nice of them and all, but I feel chincy using it on my computer because everytime I log in and out. It displays their companys logo and motto. I want to know 1. What is the file that's an image that when logging in and out of windows it displays. I really do just want the Default windows one or something even simpler. Even a black screen would be nice. Anyway

If you know of a product that can provide that or if you can just tell me the file to edit so I can just place a picture there, that would be great.

Thanks.

If your speaking of the screen that appears for a few seconds right after you power on, the you want a program called BootSkin. If it's the actual Logon screen you speak of, (the screen after boot up where you are able to select users and enter a password) then you'll want a program called LogonStudio.

Both are Freeware provided by Stardock. They both have a plethora of skins to choose from. Enjoy!
