x64 Windows XP and DesktopX Systray

Tuesday, August 15, 2006 by JukEboXAuDiO | Discussion: DesktopX

I tried to make an object that shows the system tray objects but it does not show the systray icons on my x64 machine. Is there something I can do to fix this. It does work on 32bit system. I built my widget on my x64 device and also if i set one object to be systray and one taskbar, if I export it as an exe and move it to another machine those 2 objects don't show anything. Anybody have any ideas?

Errm It may have something to do with the fact that DesktopX is a 32-bit app but not sure... My processor is x64 but I'm running 32bit OS and I've had no problems with Taskbar or SysTray so far I believe in x64 version of Windows you can set programs to run explicitly as 32bit progs.. but really any 32bit program should run fine on an x64 OS.. I'd check Stardock documentation see if there is any known issues
