While we would like to hope that the code we write is solid as a rock and has zero flaws, we know that just isnt the case 100% of the time. While the forums continue to grow and we continue to add features and expand upon existing features, a bug here or there might pop up. Please use this post for reporting problems you are facing, or issues you notice with our new forums.

Fairyy it looks like your FF font size is a bit large.. Go to View > Text Size > Normal.

I seem to have a LOT of extra space at the top of some (not all) of the Galleries. Opera 9.02 8573

Lantec, this post is for forum bugs. Not website bugs. Please repost that reply in the proper post, or create a new post.

Not sure if this is known by you guys so I thought I'd point it out.

I have recently made an account and after trying to use "Modnar" as a nickname it was already taken. So I tried "Mod-Nar". I got a pop-up saying I could only use A-B, a space, or 0-9 in my nickname, but it still created anyway..

I think this is a bug? Along the lines of the names being underlined but not actual links, I'm getting the link cursor for the read/unread notification images and they aren't links too? Also, the disappearing line break issue in the edit/advanced post whatever is still there (Firefox 1.5.0.7). Original topic about the bug.

Bebi Bulma : I haven't seen that bug in eons. I need to know what editor you are using, the Advanced mode or inline mode. If you're using the Advanced mode, check the options tab to make sure you're not in Pure HTML mode.

I only seem to notice it when I edit my post after I've posted it. Just clicking on the Edit link and then all the line breaks are gone.

I am experiencing some strange behavior. I use Firefox. In the advanced edit mode there is a button, graphics are two angle brackets, tooltip View HTML Source. Clicking this button a few times will result in all the content being deleted. Using basic editing mode, as found at the bottom of all threads, and inserting links using the Insert Web Link button, the links will display mangled. As seen here As a note, that link^^ was typed using an "a tag" in Advanced mode with Pure HTML selected. I believe I am also in View Source mode. In advanced mode, pure HTML selected, the Insert Web Link button will not finalize. When re-editing a post that has already been submitted once, some HTML, including line breaks, seems to be stripped from the content before you are given the opportunity to select the Pure HTML mode. Preview does not seem to work well at all when editing in View Source, Pure HTML, when it would actually be of the most use.
Line breaks are still disappearing, can't seem to figure out a pattern. Above line break is a "br/ tag" entered in Advanced Editor, View Source, Pure HTML.

As per usual I need a URL of the page on which you're editing and the version of Firefox you're using (why do I have to keep asking for this?). If you're using a beta version of Firefox then you're on your own.

To use the preview tab semi-effectively (as it hasnt been completely finished) you have to exit view source mode.

I keep getting redirected to old threads when clicking on a current thread. Just had one from 2002

"The URL of the page on which I am editing" Well. If I understand what is meant by this, I did provide it. Maybe it couldn't be seen in the middle of that block of text which had all the line feeds removed. https://forums.wincustomize.com/?forumid=168&aid=132305#1024098 Firefox information, latest official release: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.8.0.7) Gecko/20060909 Firefox/1.5.0.7 Listen. I didn't mean to complain or sound like an ass. I'm just reporting what I experience with the idea that more information would help you all the more in your efforts. This is the URL of an actual edit page: http://rabidrobot.wincustomize.com/editComment.aspx?cmd=EditComment&AID=125136&RID=1024843&c=1

Interestingly, that URL^^ did not strip html.  When I looked for a URL not based off my personal page, such as https://forums.wincustomize.com/?g=editreply&aid=125136&rid=1024843

it did strip.

Using firefox 1.5.0.7 and following your descriptions of the issues I am unable to reproduce any of that behavior. I'll probably need a specific set of steps to reproduce.

I can't comment on the issue if youre seeing it using editComment.aspx on the main wincustomize site. All I could do is forward the report to another developer (dean).

Regarding the deletion of all comment content during editing, on my end, I can replicate it in this manner.
From the "Add A Reply:" section at a bottom of a thread, I click Advanced Mode. I then entered some text in the edit box. Then I clicked the View Source button four times in succession, and the test text disappeared.
This is limited to Firefox, a similar test using Internet Explorer 6 did not lose the content of the edit box.

Now, how often will that happen, someone repeatedly clicking View Source in Firefox? Probably not often, but who knows what bit of info will be helpful to y'all! And it certainly could be a problem on my end, a Firefox extension or something..out of my league to speculate.

The following link will have been entered in this manner. I am in basic edit mode, typing this at the bottom of the thread, not on a separate Edit Page. I will click the Insert Web Link button, and paste in a URL. I do not know if this will replicate the mangling I experienced earlier or not. Link follows:
WWW Link

This reply was typed in the edit box at the bottom of this page, and I will not attempt to re-edit it. https://forums.wincustomize.com/?aid=125136#1024885

Well, that seems to have worked just fine. One more experiment, and I will stop bothering you. This is the same URL that I typed in another thread, and it displayed oddly.WWW Link

EDIT:  sorry to have wasted your time.  I guess I can't replicate it either.  Although I know it has happened to me more than once.

None the less, its still good to report when anomolies occurr. I'll have a look at the editor in firefox and see if I can get it to act up like you had. There may be something I can do about that at least.

I'm not sure what's going on, but I can't seem to edit my posts anymore. I thought I had read somewhere that you can't edit your posts if someone posts after you (is that still how it works?), but it's not the case here. When I click on the edit link it bring me to a page saying access is denied and tells me to create an account (but I obviously already have one and am logged in if I was able to post in the first place). Using Firefox 1.5.0.7.

Edit link for a sample post: Link
Access denied page: Link

Edit: just noticed something, it only gives that error for threads from the WC News forum.

Andrew,

I know your busy with WC2k7, but recently everytime I attempt to change the size of my comments in WC forums, the bbcode "]" bracket gets changed to a >. I end up having to edit my post to correct this.

Here's an example: size="2"] <----- that will change to this ">" after I select post comment.

In addition to the size issue, I having been having of on issues with being able to edit some of my posts...which I only do when the bbcode error occurs. I'm redircted to a page stating "Access Denied you may register/create an account here if you like"...somewheres along those lines.

I should stat that I attempt to change the font as well as size. These two sentences will be a test that hopefully will error, so you may see what I mean.[/size]
