Friday, July 28, 2006 by andrew_ | Discussion: WinCustomize Site Issues
While we would like to hope that the code we write is solid as a rock and has zero flaws, we know that just isnt the case 100% of the time. While the forums continue to grow and we continue to add features and expand upon existing features, a bug here or there might pop up. Please use this post for reporting problems you are facing, or issues you notice with our new forums.
Rest assured, a Stardock rep will be monitoring this post and helping out as much as possible. With your help, we can make sure that the forums continue to run smoothly and without issue.

Fairry, you probably want to post that issue as a new post and not under the *Forum Bug Thread*. The forums run a completely different codebase from the rest of the wincustomize website.
Fuzzy, when you say 'I keep getting...' how often does that mean? We were doing several updates during the day yesterday...

If I go into Internet Options and clear cookies, files (online and offline), and history for IE6.0.2900.2180 and then attempt to log back on to WinCustomize - I receive the same page displayed in the image in comment #21 here:
[link=https://forums.wincustomize.com/?forumid=188&aid=124902&p=1]WWW Link">Link
Issue #2 would be that the "link" button function does not seem to work consistently in the same browser.

Corky_O, I can't reproduce the same problem in Reply #21 using your directions.
I'm still working on 'Issue #2'.

Ok the link issue should be fixed. I've been hitting my head against the wall for three days trying to find the error in my regular expression, turns out that I forgot to tell the dialog that it needs to wrap quotes around the url in the [ link= opening tag. I love it when I force my dialogs to not adhere to my own bbcode rules.
I really have to get some kind of a legend going for that...

It must be something on my home notebook then, as I can logon with no problem here from work in same version IE browser. Perhaps the infamous NIS 2006 is creating issues at home.
Note - I can sort it by closing/re-opening the browser and opening WC site.
Thanks for looking into the "Issue #2".

Forum Issue:
But I am having an issue with watched posts that never happened before . When i recieve an email notification about a watched post having new activity - when I click the link on the email it opens the IE6 browser - I get to forum - scroll almost to the bottom then get a message error on my screen about IE6 is unable to access WC Forum and must now close. I cant do anything but hit the " ok " button then IE closes down. This is happening with all email notifications to forum.

This is SS of the bottom part of page - I only noticed because I saw my name mentioned on several threads. But none of those threads are by me nor have I posted on the 3 that have my name after them. No biggy but I look like a blabber mouth.
