Windows XP style
Thursday, July 27, 2006 by Peter Purcell | Discussion: WindowBlinds
Although i like to skin from time to time it's always good to know you can return to the basic Windows Default XP style when you so wish. Unfortunately the XP style skin on WindowBlinds actually shows as Classic style when loaded so i want it set using my current theme as per Display Properties section.
Why is the XP style loading as Classic style eventhough it previews correctly and how can this be remedied?
Thanks

even choosing the default xp skin causes classic to show when WB unloads (but properties likes to call it xp'modified'.
using the drop down in properties always works (or at least it has the two times i actually unloaded and reverted).

After unloading Windowblinds you need to go to 'My Computer'.
Right click and select properties.
Select 'Advanced' tab and click 'Settings' in the Performance box.
Now in the 'Visual Effects' tab make sure that the last entry, 'Use visual styles on windows and buttons' is checked.
Now go and apply the default XP skin.
