1. how do u get themes/skins you've downloaded to work?
2. where do i save my files that change icons,and how do i get those to work?
ive just started to change my comp. appearance.........

At the top of each library is a link to the software needed to apply the downloads. In some cases as you download the themes/skins you will be prompted to open them with that software. For instance, if you download a WindowBlind skin you will (in most cases) be prompted to open it with WIndowBlinds (sometimes they come in a .zip file and in that case you would open it and move the file to the WindowBlinds folder). In some cases you will be downloading a .zip file which you can open and move to the right folder for that software. Unfortunately its not consistent regarding downloads and it can get confusing until you get the hang of knowing what goes where. When you get to that point just come back here and ask if your not sure which folder that is. Someone will be more than happy to help you out.

That should help you get started.
Have you installed the applications for the skins/themes/icons/etc? Here's a link to all the software that goes to the skins. https://www.wincustomize.com/software.aspx Install and go from there.
If you like the apps (skins), think about buying them. There's more you can do with the whole package.
