.logonxp = .zip (not .exe)

It is possible to convert them to logonui.exe files and use StyleXP to install them, but they don't always work, and the ones with the center panel "Splash" won't convert at all without recoding the uifile. For Chinese XP you are probably best off using StyleXP or Tune-Up Utilities which uses StyleXP to change logons and download logons that are made in that format. Deviant Art has a library for the logonui.exe type of logons http://browse.deviantart.com/skins/windows/xplogon/ as does ThemeXP(use it at your own risk, the files may be bundled with spyware). I'm sure you can find many other places by Googling for them.
You can also make your own logons with StyleXp, and it's fairly easy. Hope that helps you.

I would strongly warn against downloading .exe files from the internet and replacing your logonui.exe with them.

If you use Logon Studio by Stardock to create login screens, you will be forced to save your login in Stardock's proprietary format (*.logonXP). Unfortunately, not everyone can use them in this format. However, thanks to Kouran and dmmason we've found an easy way to convert those files to *.exe's.

First you have to use Logon Studio to make your login screen. Adjust it how you want it and save it as foofoo.logonXP where foofoo is your login screen's name.

Apply your login screen, switch user to get back to the welcome screen, and log back in.

Go to C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM32 (or whatever your system root is...this is usually the correct path to your system root) and find logonuiX.exe. This is the file you created, but with an *.exe extension!

Copy this file and place it in a folder you will be including all your zipped contents in. Rename logonuiX.exe to foofoo.exe (where foofoo is your login screen's name). Gather your screenshots, readmes, and/or fonts (you may include some but not all, depending on the login screen) and zip up the files.

Upload the zip file to bfarber.com!

in this article ,may somebody nitices this sentence ,"Apply your login screen, switch user to get back to the welcome screen, and log back in.

" there,apply the login ,but ,if this computer's user can apply this login ,that this is no nessesary to covvert this format to that format of exe for the user ,he can use this logonxp format diretly,is not it ? i know this way is effect to covert this format.it is correct,but for me ,for this kind of users of me ,there is no way excpect someone can use logonstudio do this job ,and upload this exe file to share with everyone ,that is all,thanks a lot.
