Joe User is "Joke User"

Get Your Free Blog! Next Year!

Friday, June 30, 2006 by TheGuyPC | Discussion: Virtual Communities

Everyone at Joe User is just so happy and fun! You have to have a sense of humor with a name like Joe User!

I was considering starting a blogsite dedicated to the discussion of marriage. I was going to call it Harry Crabs. My wife balked, so I digress.

There is really no virtual community to compare to the honest, open perspective that Joe User has. There should be more like it. This world would be a much richer, more diverse place.

I, as soooooooo many others are just grateful to be blessed by the absolute intelligence that this community offers.

Thank you so much. And to do it all for free?! Wow!

And I did notice one thing. The original author has probably done the exact opposite of his original intention. I saw this on the site:

Today's Top Referred Articles

* Winstep releases Xtreme Public Beta 3(7)
* CONSTRUCTORA ABC(6)
* Gaming advertisement(6)
* Joe User is "Joke User"(6)
* Lessons from Homeless People(5)

So if anything he is driving more people there hehe

LOL...I can't believe this is still going on, it's given me a good giggle though, so it's all good!

Hey Suzy, welcome to the dark side, hehe! I have a shocking pink nail polish you can borrow if you like, haha! Sorry I'll behave now....

No, no. I only collect the pictures that prove Bigfoot doesn't exist.

Bah!!!!....just when I thought I'd be adding to my pic collection of ferocious Tassie Tigers, Yetis, Alien Greys and wild dodos feeding.....

After all, a screenshot of an error page is proof of a Republican conspiracy.

Well of course it is....Democrats computers have a certain air about them, a distinct aroma, if you like, even over the net, and stand out for exclusion when trying to connect to Republican sites. A search for key words a Republican would NEVER use is done, and if found, exclusion is automatic. Shoot, I'm in trouble over at JU, then...for my harsh criticism/condemnation of lil Johnny's getting into bed with Bush, politically speaking, that is.

Oh how I love a drama, conspiracy theories....there should be more mountains made out of mole hills to spice up/envigorate my otherwise mundane existence.

If your going to call me Suzy, I want both hands on the keyboard while you do it...

But, but, but.....wouldn't you want one hand, if not both free, just in case things get a bit fresh.....???

WTF is a liberal?

Head to your local Natural History Museum. They probably have an example or two under glass -- if only for historical research purposes.

(I hope you don't mind the stench of moth balls, formaldehyde, and crushing defeat.)

Sorry, my lowly Macintosh was able to create a blog.

But then I do keep a copy of Winblows on my hard drive just to mask the scent....

Now we're really talking conspiracy ....Bill's plan to usurp both Republicans and Democrats (and the church) to establish a 'new world order' that is Microsoft, which is to be both political and religious......

"All ye who bow before me shall prosper and be comforted in the knowledge the Almighty Windows shalt protect thee from rotten Apples, viscious penguins and political persecution for being a PC owner/user. And it shall come to pass, for I am the Father, that all sinners still using Mac shalt be banished to the wilderness to contemplate their sins before repenting, denouncing Jobs and all technology that is not Microsoft."

PC...I just checked your profile. You do not have a Wincustomize personal site. If you go to " My Account " you will see a link to open your own WC Site - it takes a minute to do this. Also a place to cross reference your accounts if you havent done this. After you open the WC Site - you automatically will have a link at the bottom of your full profile that goes to Joe User site. Once I got there I logged in using my email addy and password for wincustomize. I was logged in immediately and there was a place to click on " My Blog " that I didnt even know I had because I've never been there. Anything I've written at WC was at Joe User and I didnt even know it was there. So If its a Blog you want - start with opening a WC Site. I believe Meowy told you that but I see your upset and may not be reading every post.

The author of this piece has still failed to answer a few responses... namely:
1. You're not paying for JoeUser. It's not part of any subscription
2. It's a technical issue that has long plagued the site, it's not targeted.
3. Ranting and railing isn't the way to get things fixed.

Also... is [email protected] even a monitored mailbox?

You started with tinfoil hat accusations of conspiracy, and you expect anything but a mocking response?

They are mocking your claim that Brad and Stardock have some sort of super secret software that determines a person's political persuasion when they try to create an account.

Aha...but Stardock does have its ways!!! A little bird told me of unsubstantiated reports that Brad has implemented the following measures to weed out various undesirables.....

Firstly, political persuasion is determined by mind reading via your webcam/monitor - those not meeting the criteria are instantly denied access. Tin foil hats are useless against the probe - unless lead lined, but then you die of lead poisoning (mission accomplished} - as a data sensitive particle beam enters the nostrils to collect relevant information.....

Secondly, new technology to monitor touch reads fingerprints off keyboards to check for criminal records....whether or not you're left-handed, which counts as 10 demerit points. The fingerprints are data matched against FBI, CIA and Interpol records....a match qualifies for instant disqualification to creating personal blogs. Right now I'm wearing rubber gloves, each on the wrong hand to confuse the software....

And thirdly, a search is done of your 'My Pictures' folder to see if you have any autographed piccies of unpopular world leaders, etc....those deemed to be unacceptable result in blog denial.....

As Mr Palance used to say....Believe it, or not.

I didn't want to go here but d3adz0mbie created an object that makes all this clear: https://www.wincustomize.com/viewskin.aspx?LibID=34&SkinID=233

It's been on my desktop since 2004 and has never led me astray.

You know we'll have to execute you now...

But, but, but.....oh shucks...in trouble again for letting the cat out of the bag. Just as well I never mentioned the far reaching pupil probe that seeks deep into the mind for evidence of liberal/commie sympathising/participation in past lives.
